The First Baptist Church of Haughton's Women’s Ministry is proud to announce the return
of Compassion Dash for 2013. Compassion Dash is an event that advances the gospel of Jesus
Christ by raising funds for needy famlies and Christian organizations.
Compassion Dash 2013 will beneift Anna Grace Watson. Anna Grace is the 6 year old daughter of Brad and Leigh Ann Watson. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency (MSD) in July 2011. MSD is progreesive, terminal, neurological disorder. MSD is a very rare hereditary metabolic disorder in which all of the known sulfate enzymes (thought to be seven in number) are deficient and inoperative. Approximately 40 cases have been reported worldwide. There is no cure for this terrible disorder. Sadly, children with MSD rarely live beyond their tenth birthday. Doctors believe that Anna Grace's case is atypical and that she may have a longer life span.
Currently, Anna Grace's MSD symptoms are vision problems, restricted growth, developmental delay, mild limb stiffness, muscle weakness, and attention problems.
The Watson's only defense against this disorder is prayer. They trust God and often sing the children's song "My God is So Big."

There's nothing my God cannot do!"
Rainbows are very special to Anna Grace and her family. On the day they received the devastating news about Anna Grace's disorder God gave them a rainbow. Leigh Ann felt as if she had been hugged by God. This family is clinging to the promises of their Savior and they find peace in knowing that God is with them.

• Friends and family will pledge to sponsor participants per mile, or they can give a one time donation.
• There will also be teams with specific fund raising goals. The team to raise the most will receive a prize on race day!
